It’s clear!! Even during  the current economic downturn, the age of big end-to-end marketing conglomerates is under serious threat. I don’t care that there will be a short-term flight to (perceived) safety of conglomerates, driven by cost-reduction and risk aversion – eventually there will be change. What’s likely to replace conglomerates is a world of consortiums.

Consortiums of brands, NGOs, governments and consumers engaging to define new and safer products, or working in partnership to make th

e world a better place. Consortiums of marketing and business specialists, coming together to solve specific business challenges (often online). In Asia, this will be especially true!

trying to look informal - ha, ha!?

It’s with that belief that John Kerr, head of Edelman Digital Asia, has created this blog to promote the amazing socialmedia innovation and scale that is exploding in the region. It’s also a place where I want to showcase the people, thinking and firms that will help to reshape marketing as we know it. Join me for the ride, it should be a blast!
